Make: Santa Fe offers a variety of tools to help you with your blacksmithing journey. Some tools are readily available to anyone who takes the blacksmithing badge class, others require special training.
- Hammers - A variety of hammers have been made available for various needs.
- Cross Peen
- Straight Peen
- Diagonal Peen
- Anvils - 4 anvils are available for working with, set at various heights and with slightly different dimensions for different uses.
- Tongs
- Twisting wrenches
- Wire brushes
- Water bucket
- Water pourer
- Beeswax - Used for finishing steel pieces
- Make sure your space is tidy
- Put away any tools not in use in their proper places
- When finished, put all tools, materials, and anything else back in the blacksmithing area
- Ensure all fuels are properly dealt with; i.e. close propane, ensure charcoal is secure, etc.
